Re-Publishing Continues

My mom reminded me last night that when I was a kid, my dad wrote a textbook about how to use word processors for writing, back before people did that.

My divide from the art/writing world over AI this year has been a whole lifetime in the making.

There are just so many moving pieces to getting more than a decade’s worth of work instantly republished.

A friend suggested that if they were re-releasing so many book, they’d space them out more and make a bigger deal of each individual re-release… but I really just need them all back out there, for my own sanity.

When a book gets properly published, it feels like I can take the whole giant thing floating in my head & set it down. Stop worrying about it. It’s where it belongs. Right now… there’s just all these giant novels floating all over the place around me in a weird state of limbo.

The auto-tuned song “Garden of Your Mind” collated from clips of Mr. Rogers is proof enough that auto-tune was an excellently important invention. It’s such a beautiful, haunting, and yet simultaneously comforting song.

It’s good to have new ways to make new kinds of art.
