B’Ellana: half dog, half wolf-alien
Kes: caterpillar alien
Neelix: hedgehog alien
And the EMH (holographic doctor) could be a mushroom body extension of the ship’s experimental mycelial computer system.
Is it just part of the computer? Is it just a dumb mushroom that can be regrown by the mycelium any time?
Or… is it as much a lifeform as any cat or dog?
Oh, and of course, The Caretaker is a giant dying space tortoise with all of the caterpillar aliens living on its back.
