The Curls on His Golden Head

by Mary E. Lowd

Once there was a lion
With curls all in a riot
Flowing all over his golden head

When he was good
Even very, very good
People still thought he was horrid

They feared & they quaked
Saying disaster followed in his wake

But he cared not
For the tattling & prattling
Of mere mortals
