More than a decade ago, I started writing a story inspired by my love of Guys & Dolls. Somehow, I thought I would fix its problematic nature by… uh… setting it in space. Since then, I’ve moved the file into a “dead ends” folder and later retrieved it multiple times…
Somehow, I can’t seem to let go of the 1000 words I wrote committing myself to this cursed story. So, now, once again, I delve into this bizarre, broken premise of a story to see if THIS TIME FOR SURE! I can finally turn it into something.
So, I’ve got myself a fancy drink whipped up with oat milk, English toffee syrup, & coconut whipped cream. I’ve turned on the 90s Broadway revival of Guys & Dolls. And now I’ll to try to write… some bizarre story that will make my ten-years-younger self retroactively happy.
