The Mitchells vs. the Machines is mostly delightful, BUT
It should NOT be a minor daughter’s job to reach out to, connect with, and manage her father’s emotions.
Animated kid movies about boys don’t make their hero work 1% as hard to earn their dad’s respect.
I guess I should just be grateful that we’re making progress… but the progress is just so damned slow.
And I’m still not done being mad that the How to Train Your Dragon movies sidelined Astrid, who would’ve actually enjoyed and been good at being chief unlike Hiccup.
