So long as people in this country can call themselves “pro-life” without being roundly met by derision and condemnation of their evilness, every person with a uterus is in danger of losing their right to control their own body.

I’ve tried being nice to “pro-life” bigots. Tried arguing rationally & reasonably.
They don’t deserve it. “Pro-life” bigots will tear society to pieces to protect their ability to punish people for having uteruses.
They deserve to be shunned and/or screamed into submission.
If you know someone who still calls themselves “pro-life” today?
That is — at best — a willfully ignorant person. AT BEST.
It is goddamn GENEROUS to assume that someone who still calls themselves “pro-life” in this environment is JUST STUPID, not ACTIVELY MALICIOUS & HATEFUL.
I’m not surprised by today’s news. It was obviously coming. And I tried to let it roll off me.
As you can see from my other posts, I have failed.
Being pro-choice is my NUMBER ONE political concern. Always has been and always will be. Because if people with uteruses cannot control their own bodies, they can never be equal.
And anyone trying to suppress half of humanity cannot be a good person and does not deserve power.
Human reproduction is not so different from xenomorph impregnation in the Alien franchise. It only seems beautiful if you WANT it, DESIRE it.
Otherwise? It’s blood and pain and goo and being ripped open by a parasite hijacking your own body against your will.

Unwanted pregnancies are basically just a really specialized cancer of the uterus. Denying health care that would cure them is no different or better than denying health care for any other kind of cancer.
