Apparently my fifteen-year-old’s group of friends is all going to Rose City Comic Con tomorrow, and the way my kid perked up when I said we could maybe go too definitely made it seem worth doing.
So, I guess I’ll be at comic con tomorrow!
Kids are dressed as a Star Trek captain and a Doki Doki Literature Club character, and we’re on our way to Rose City Comic Con!
I didn’t feel like dealing with a costume myself today, but I’ve been wearing my DS9ers hat and The Guild shirt and each has led to fun conversations with people recognizing the obscure references while we wander around.
It’s kind of unreasonably cruel that between the smoke and covid there’s basically nowhere it’s safe to take off my mask until we get back to our car to drive home…
While the older child is hanging out with friends, the younger child found the booth that’s my kryptonite…
So, the kid got an orange toyger shark named Shorange, and I got a calicoi who will be a sister to my other Purrmaids. Her name is Hedda.
