The first episode of the Quantum Leap revival was clearly made by people who love Quantum Leap a lot.
I’ve been burned by things I love a lot before… but… my damaged heart is cautiously optimistic.
As a kid, I tried to catch as many Quantum Leap reruns as I could, trying to unravel the bits & pieces of overarching plot that only got hinted at. I never managed to catch the last episode.
I was thrilled when as an adult I finally got to see the whole show in order.
Though, of course, it turned out that the end of Quantum Leap is kind of famously unsatisfying… it was still so much better to get to watch it than to just wonder about it.
This revival picks up right where it should. And that’s pretty exciting.
I wasn’t emotionally prepared for Lower Decks to visit DS9 and Quantum Leap to start up again in the same week. That’s a lot.
