This otter traveled far
To ask
For help from beings
Long since transcended
They don’t usually deign
—mostly they refrain
Disdaining matters as small
As those that matter
To creatures who are still physical
But the otter was quite emotional
Persuasive & irreproachable
Asking only for her world to be saved
She had braved so much
The ascended beings were touched
By her selfless proposal
They offered more
Than she could have hoped
—in the end seeing both
The gravitational hole
Around her home
Filled with a moon
And her lost paw mended
With their holographic runes
The otter was amazed
And oh so grateful
