Squid Game is basically Cube X The Hunger Games. It’s really well done, but for all its twists & turns, I was actually surprised by how much it colored inside the lines.

Elder Child wants to find some pieces for a new cosplay they’re putting together, so we’re at a thrift store, and the best way I can describe the selection here is that if I wanted to put together a Goa’uld cosplay, I would definitely come back here.

And now the thrift store is RickRolling us. I can’t tell if I love it or hate it here.

I grew up watching The Wonder Years, and it’s kind of magical how the new incarnation is so different and yet manages to feel exactly the same way watching The Wonder Years felt way back then.

They’ve really done a fantastic job with it.

Me: *speaks cryptically of Squid Game, because the eight-year-old is listening*

Eight: “Oh, you mean the robot girl who shoots people in Red Light, Green Light?”

Me: *stares blankly* “How do you know about that???”

Eight, bashfully: “There’s a Roblox game of Squid Game.”

So… I’m just gonna cry every week when I watch Star Trek: Prodigy?
