Wired into the currents
Of the torrents
As the whirling eddies swirl
Around the graceful curl
Of a goldfish’s tail
From cat to fish
To cat and back
A full circuit
Closed and complete
Replete with longings and terror
Curiosity and fear
Both sides locked in an endless cycle
