Moonlit Kaleidocorn

by Mary E. Lowd

Her coat is a kaleidoscope
Of colors under the moon

Pale moonlight
Shining bright
Morning isn’t yet in sight

Let her prance
Watch her dance
Between the trees
Her mane whisping in the breeze

Flowers growing
Cloven hooves knowing
How to step between
Leaving footsteps
Only unseen
