1.
Yellow breasted
With a black moon collar
Speckled and proud
Though you try to get rested
A giggling holler
Knocking and drumming
Keep you from sleeping
Some birds are loud
2.
Red headed
Green backed
Sharp beaked
Give me some slack
So I peck on wood
Make lots of noise
But a beautiful bird
Is one of life’s great joys
