Just broke 80k on my space opera novel-in-progress! That’s 80k in TWO MONTHS.
My accomplishments in 2017:
- 3rd novel in my Otters In Space trilogy published by FurPlanet Productions
- sold my novel The Snake’s Song to ShadowSpinners Press
—sold 42 short stories, including 17 to Daily Science Fiction & 1 to Analog - wrote 80k of a novel in 2 months (that ties into all 18 of the pro-level story sales)
Goal for 2018:
- write 200k words of fiction, including an entire novel
My goal for 2017 was to write 100k words of fiction, with 50k of it being towards a novel. I actually wrote 160k, with 30k being toward one novel & 80k toward a different one.
The ten-year-old, as the adults discuss various sci-fi: “Is Twilight very different from The Twilight Zone?”
All the adults: “YES.”
Good way to end the year: burning old critiqued manuscripts.
