Giraffe Moth

by Mary E. Lowd

Spectacular, as the light
Shines through her
Wings so bright
With colors garish
Blaring so daring
Her feathered antennae
Quiver with whispers
Of doubts & memories
Some fading, sketched on sand
Others sketched in stone
She hasn’t the renown
Of monarchs or lions
And yet—
She shines
