Lemon Joke, Mashup Ideas, Rewatching “The Offspring,” etc.

I’ve been watching Arrested Development with my teen. We’re in season two. He’s been laughing for several minutes at one of Tobias’s lines…

“I just found out my cellular telephone was a lemon.”

This is not even a joke. But apparently, my kid had never heard that idiom before.

He says, “it was the dry delivery.”

I pointed out, “That’s because it wasn’t a joke…”

He’s laughing again.

Battlestar Galactic reboot of Little Shop of Horrors starring James Callis (Baltar) as Seymour.

Audrey is played by Tricia Helfer (Six) except… TWIST… she never really existed and was always a telepathic trick Audrey II cast into Seymour’s mind to manipulate him.

I want a spoken word Jonathan Frakes cover of Taylor Swift’s song “Question…?” done in the style of his intros for that “Fact or Fiction” show.

I’ve always loved the ST:TNG episode “The Offspring,” because I love Data and Lal, and I always knew the admiral who tries to take her away is the villain… but I think I hate him and what he represents about humanity several magnitudes more now than I did as a kid in the 90s.

Though, I have to grant: the actor’s performance is excellent. His delivery of the lines about watching Data try to save Lal, his hands moving too fast to be seen, is incredible. The kind of thing that stays echoing in your head forever. The same for Lal’s performance too.

Well, I finished Twelve Monkeys. So, I thought I should check where I was up to in Supernatural… and yeah… turns out I was in the middle of an episode when I switched to Twelve Monkeys several months back. That’s how gripping I’ve been finding it.
