Owl

Fuzzy & funny
The owl skews an eye
Giving a quizzical look

The Wise One wonders
Why you choose to reside
Trapped inside
A big wood box
When the sky stretches wide
With room to fly
Space for wings
Wandering thoughts
And wondering things

Perhaps that’s why—
Oh, poor Wingless One!
