Pluribus, Christmas Movies, and Other Tidbits

I’m watching episode three of Pluribus and the fleet of trucks and people that roll up to the Sprouts right after Carol insists she’s a really independent person is quite the sharp commentary on the concept of independence.

Well, I won the game of random Christmas movie roulette tonight with two unusually excellent finds:

It was fun hearing the overlap between the minimal Danish I’ve learned & the Norwegian in Christmas as Usual.

And Michelle Yeoh was a delight in her side role in Last Christmas.

Pluribus is just Tuvix times several billion.

I finally turned my old webcomic, SPACE HOUNDS!, into an actual graphic novel!

You could have a copy in your very own hands in a matter of days.

You can now pre-order the third book in my Wanderlust Saga, coming out January 15th, 2026!

If you’ve ever wanted to read a book centered on a cyborg mushroom in a far away galaxy, this is the book for you!

It’s been such a bewildering, shattering head trip watching the people who used to carefully explain how fascists use dehumanization as a tactic and how it’s fundamentally wrong… turn around and use the same tactic because they don’t like AI.

Celebrating hate is never right.

This line seemed so random to me as a kid… but I think about it a lot now.

“I have this theory of convergence, that good things always happen with bad things. I know you have to deal with them at the same time, but I just don’t know why they have to happen at the same time.” — Say Anything (1989)

Watching Pluribus episode five now, and by the third time she hears that recording, I don’t see how she doesn’t immediately request that they replace it with a shorter recording.

Okay, I get it now. Objection withdrawn.
