Stray Thoughts While Rewatching More Star Wars

This is obvious, but sometimes obvious things need saying…‬
‪In Star Wars, the rebellion is antifa.‬

‪The good guys. The heroes. They’re antifa.‬

Anakin doesn’t deserve Padme. And if you watch their romance closely, I think you can see that she’s afraid of him and knows she’s safer loving him back than rejecting a powerful, angry Jedi who’s obsessed over her for ten years.‬

Obi Wan riding a lizard, fighting a droid in a circle bike.‬

‪‘Nuff said.‬

Palpatine would have so much less power over Anakin if there were less truth in the things he says about the Jedi having an overly narrow world view and clinging to power when they have it.‬

Theory: Padme dies because Anakin is sapping her life force, clinging to his connection to her as he burns and nearly dies himself.‬

‪Which makes her dying assertion that there’s still good in him all that much more poignant.‬

Revenge of the Sith is brutal, magnificent, and important.‬

So, if Baby Yoda is 50 years old, and The Mandalorian is set 5 years after Return of the Jedi…‬

‪Baby Yoda was born at the same time as Anakin. This seems important.‬

Star Wars and The Dark Crystal are the same story — twins separated and hidden at birth later come together, bringing balance to their war torn lands that have been rebelling against an evil empire which has been chasing an unnatural immortality.‬
