The Kaleidoscopic Daffodil

by Mary E. Lowd

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That stumbled down
From skies above to crowds below
Of jumbled blooms
All golden, aglow
No straight rows
All tumbling groves
Of daffodils mixed
With summer’s promise
Never fixed, always moving
As clouds keep roving
Through spring’s cacophony
A kaleidoscopic symphony
