Writing fiction is… an incredibly free-form activity. You have to make up your own goals or borrow deadlines from markets that may or may not eventually buy your fiction so much of the time.
One of the goals I set for myself: write three trilogies before turning 40.
First off… I’ve just been staring at that last tweet, because it makes no sense. I can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that I’ll be 40 in less than a year. It makes me feel… weirdly panicky? Like, where did all the time go? Am I going to run out of time?
But… getting past the dysphoria of my increasing age…
I achieved my goal of writing three full trilogies before turning 40.
Because Shadow Spinners has accepted The Otter’s Wings, I should also succeed at actually publishing three full trilogies before turning 40.
