So much fun helping my kid figure out answers to their high school health class that are basically propaganda for capitalism. Sigh.
At least any kid growing up in my house is subjected to enough anti-capitalist, pro-union rants that they’ll never fall for it.
It’s still sad.
My non-binary AMAB child has spent the entire pandemic growing their hair out, and it’s beautiful.
But now they’re thinking about cutting it off, because they keep running into boys at playgrounds who assume they’re a girl and won’t play with girls.
So heartbreaking.
I’m sad for the boys and non-binary people who feel like they can’t just be themselves and grow their hair however they want, and I’m sad for the girls who will be excluded whether they have long hair or not.
And I’m just so tired of it all.
