When your hit points are low enough, any blow can one-shot you.
We watched the Vaux’s swifts roost at 17th and Agate tonight — a swirling tornado of specks of ash, so quiet you could hear their wings flutter.
In an effort to keep my daughter’s life magical, I lugged half a dog crate to the nearest park today where she transformed it into a sled.
“If I sled good enough, I might travel all the way to Christmas Eve!” — Elaine
Ah, the beautiful, discordant sound of Elaine singing Christmas carols with the radio… just not the same ones as the radio.
Apparently, Elaine thinks Santa comes up the stairs on the 1st of December; I found 48 cents and a card for him at the top of the stairwell.
Elaine is watching the end of The Last Unicorn, shouting at the screen, “Save them! Go! Go! Go! Save them, unicorn! Save them!”
My cats may like my ocarina, but my big orange Sheltie hates it. It’s harder to practice with his constant heckling rattling me.
The baby was jealous of my toothbrush so I gave him one. He figured out that if he holds it by the bristle end, he can club things with it.
