Overly Controlling System

That feeling when you can’t seem to get a prescription refilled because your pharmacy says to contact your doctor and your doctor says to contact your pharmacy.

The paternalism of having to get a doctor’s permission every single year to keep using a drug that you’ve been using for many, many years is deeply insulting.

It always amazes me when people who’ve watched me shred others who choose to be extremely wrong in comments on my posts go ahead and expect that they’ll face a different fate if they cross me.‬

I have so little patience for “I had to suffer, so others should suffer too.” No matter how you disguise it, it’s mean-spirited at its heart.‬

I would rather be right than liked. If someone requires you to believe terrible things in order for them to like you, then maybe they simply don’t like you. And there’s not actually anything you can do about that.

Hiding your beliefs won’t make people like you, but it might let them get away with participating in reforming the world into a worse place.

In my experience, when people say, “I guess you’d rather be right than liked,” what they really mean is that they don’t like you, but they’re willing to pretend to like you if you pretend to be someone you’re not.
