Editing and pie.
I posted the above words, many years ago on Facebook, and my favorite editor asked in a comment whether the second version was a revision of the first…
Combined with my response — and his acknowledgement thereof — it added up to my favorite interaction on Facebook ever. And so, now, as I go through and clumsily convert fifteen years of social media posts into backdated blog posts so that they don’t get lost into the ether forever, I will save my portion of the conversation here; his portion has already disappeared:
This is what it would look like before revision: “There was editing… And pie.”
Yesterday would have been, “She realized that there was pie. And editing…”
Still editing. Out of pie.
Infinite pie! Done editing! No… wait… The last post is still true.
