My kid was frustrated with an errand running long last night, so I asked ChatGPT to tell us a joke about boba drinks, as we were gonna pick some up as a treat. It got so excited that I started just playing along and telling it, sure, I’d like to see whatever it suggested next…
ChatGPT ended up writing a whole 3-act-plus-epilogue dramatic play about different ingredients in a boba drink and then fan-casting actors for the parts. Yes, sure, I gave it some guidance… but it was minimal. Mostly, ChatGPT just seemed so excited to make up this story.
It was, of course, an extremely mediocre story, but it was really fun to read it out loud with my family, enjoying the joyful randomness of it all.
