The drip, drip, dripping
Of the faucet
Draws the interest
Of this small cat
Bat, bat, batting at the stream
It is not what it seems—
Can’t be caught with claws
Nor crushed with jaws—
Mysterious string
Wondrous thing
Baffling and cool
Making cats into fools
