It is standard practice to approximate dogs as spheres.

Having finally watched all of Babylon 5, I’m finally qualified to hold the opinion that Deep Space Nine is better than Babylon 5. (And it is.)

I’ll even take it a step further: Farscape’s better too! And, possibly even Stargate: SG-1. Though, that wouldn’t be worth getting into a holy war over.  (Note added 14 years later, after watching all the way through Stargate a second time: yes, it would.)

I’m being stopped from making a Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man pinata by a purring kitten, sleeping on my lap.

Elaine says, “I’m being three dinosaurs!”, meaning that she’s pretending to be a dinosaur and consecutively attacking three different people with her dinosaur skills.

I’ve trained my daughter that apple pie means chocolate chips on top.

It was quite simple. We made apple pie last week. I put chocolate chips on top. So, now, Elaine’s asking to “make apple pie! And put chocolate chips on top!”
